Syncing Lexicon to Traktor

Lexicon syncs your library directly into Traktor's own collection file (collection.nml). There is no XML step, after the sync your tracks and playlists are in Traktor right away.

Syncing is easy, follow these steps:

1. Close Traktor. Lexicon checks this and waits until Traktor is fully closed before it syncs.
2. Go to the Sync page, choose Traktor and pick your options.
3. Click Sync to Traktor at the bottom.
4. Open Traktor.

Where Lexicon writes

Lexicon finds your Traktor collection through Traktor's own settings: it uses the root folder that Traktor is set up with, by default Documents/Native Instruments/Traktor 3.x. If you have several Traktor versions installed, the newest one is used.

If Lexicon can't find your Traktor collection, it asks you where to save the NML file. Save it over the collection.nml in your Traktor folder, or choose a different place and load it in Traktor yourself.

You can also set the location yourself: in the Lexicon settings under Advanced, set traktorNmlPath to the full path of your collection.nml.

Backups

Before each sync, Lexicon makes a backup of your collection.nml in a Lexicon folder inside your Traktor folder. Only the first sync each day creates a new backup, and backups older than a week are removed. See How to restore a Lexicon or DJ app backup for how to restore one.
