Importing Your Rekordbox 6 or 7 Library

Lexicon has direct integration into the Rekordbox 6 and Rekordbox 7 database.

Importing is easy, follow these steps:

1. Make sure Rekordbox is closed
2. Open Lexicon
3. Go to the Sync page and then click Import tracks & playlists, or use File ➡ Import from… in the top menu bar
4. Select Rekordbox 6 & 7
5. Leave the other settings at their default
6. Click Start importing
7. Start using Lexicon!

Options

Hot or memory cues

Rekordbox has both hot cues and memory cues. Lexicon only has cues by default. This option decides which cues are imported:

• Both: hot cues and memory cues are imported. Memory cues are added as extra cues in Lexicon.
• Only hot cues: only the hot cues are imported.
• Only memory cues: only the memory cues are imported.

With Both, a memory cue at the exact same position as a hot cue is dropped, unless you enable Keep duplicate cues.

If you want to keep working with memory cues in Lexicon and send them back to Rekordbox, enable Rekordbox memory cues in the Lexicon settings. See Syncing to Rekordbox for how cues are sent back when you sync.

Keep duplicate cues

Keeps hot and memory cues even if a cue already exists at the same position.

Cloud Sync: Original locations

This is a compatibility option for Rekordbox Cloud Sync. When enabled, tracks are imported with their original locations instead of the location of the tracks that Rekordbox moved or copied to your Dropbox or Google Drive. You should not normally need this, only if you have problems with Rekordbox Cloud Sync.

Using Rekordbox together with another DJ app

If you also import from a DJ app without memory cues, such as Traktor, the cues from that import replace the cues from Rekordbox, including your memory cues. To import only some fields from the other app, use the Merge option with Import specific fields only and uncheck Cue Points. See Import Options.
