Notes specific to Engine DJ → Traktor

Cue colors don't show in Traktor

Traktor has no colored cue points. Engine DJ's cue colors are kept in Lexicon so they'll return on future round-trips to Rekordbox, Serato, or Engine DJ — but in Traktor every cue looks the same.

Import from desktop, USB, or connected hardware

Lexicon reads Engine DJ libraries from the desktop app, a connected USB, or a Denon device in Computer Mode. Pick the correct source when starting import.

Engine DJ track colors aren't native

Engine DJ has no native track-color field. If you store colors via a Lexicon Field Mapping, you can reverse it to recover them — though Traktor has no track-color display either.

Tracks placed directly in Engine DJ folders

Engine DJ allows tracks directly in parent folders; Traktor doesn't. Lexicon collects them into a per-folder _FolderTracks playlist.

Remote Library is not supported

Engine DJ's Remote Library feature isn't supported by Lexicon. Tracks must be locally accessible to Engine DJ at import time.

Close Traktor before syncing

Traktor writes your library to collection.nml. Close Traktor completely before syncing so Lexicon can update the file cleanly.
