Notes specific to Engine DJ → Serato

Import from desktop, USB, or connected hardware

Lexicon reads Engine DJ libraries from the desktop app, a connected USB, or a Denon device in Computer Mode. Pick the right source when starting import.

Cue colors carry across

Engine DJ stores cue colors in the same way Serato does. They transfer through Lexicon and display in Serato.

Engine DJ track colors aren't native

Engine DJ has no native track-color field. If you've been using a Lexicon Field Mapping to store colors in comments/custom tags, reverse the mapping before syncing so Serato gets real color labels.

Remote Library is not supported

Engine DJ's Remote Library feature is not supported by Lexicon. Tracks need to be locally accessible to Engine DJ.

Serato backups are automatic

Before Lexicon writes to Serato, it backs up the crate files and database to Music/_Serato_/Lexicon.

Serato 3 vs Serato 4

Both are supported. Serato 4 handles streaming tracks in crates; Serato 3 doesn't. Engine DJ supports streaming tracks on Denon hardware only — not in the desktop app — so any streaming tracks in your Engine DJ library will need to be rebuilt in Serato against the right streaming service.
