Lexicon 1.9 Highlights
Lexicon 1.9 is now live! This release has many small changes, quality of life upgrades to make things easier and faster. But most important, there are new pricing options that you've been asking for and the cherry on top is that library conversion is now 100% free for all DJ apps.
No Changes For Existing Users
Let me preface this post by saying that existing users won't be affected by any pricing changes and will not see a change in the features they currently have.
If you are on the old Basic or Pro plan, you will continue to be on it at the same price with the same features. You can switch to any of the new plans at any time but it will be totally up to you.
Free Library Conversion
We want Lexicon to be your emergency toolkit, always at your side. Conversion between all DJ apps is now 100% free. No payment required, no credit card required, just use it.
Extra conversion features like Field Mappings are free as well, so you can still send your Rekordbox MyTags to any field when converting or your VirtualDJ Extra1 field to any other field.
Essential & Ultimate
Lexicon now has new pricing plans, Essential and Ultimate. The old Basic and Pro are no longer available for new users.
Essential is a cheaper plan intended for users who want to use the power of Lexicon to quickly edit their library and do some quick cleanups. The more powerful tools are not available on Essential.
Ultimate is the power plan that has every feature Lexicon has to offer, including all advanced and future features.
Both plans have a limited amount of cloud storage tracks included, see below.
Lifetime
Lexicon now offers a lifetime option for the Essential and Ultimate plan. No monthly fee, no subscription.
Cloud Storage Addon
Cloud storage is now a separate addon subscription that gives you practically unlimited (fair use policy applies) upload on your music files, perfect for a permanent backup. You can add this addon to any plan, even the free plan if you just want to keep your music safe.
Other Cool Features
The 1.9 release isn't just about the pricing, there is some cool stuff in there too!
Cuey
Cuey, the helpful chatbot, is now hiding inside Lexicon. You can ask it anything Lexicon related. Cuey is trained on the entire Lexicon manual, all community support questions, blog articles and more so it is pretty knowledgable and learning every day!
Moving & Renaming Files
It is now easier to move and rename your files without breaking your library or playlists. The new option can be found in the right click menu when select one or more tracks -> Send To.
Cloud Storage Usage
There is a new page in the settings that shows your cloud storage usage, limits and has a few options that helps downloading tracks and clearing your cloud storage.
Remember Scroll & Selection Per Playlist
When you switch between playlists, the scroll state and selection state is now remembered so you don't start at the top each time anymore.
Smartlist Compatibility
There is now an indicator in the smartlist popup that shows if the current rules are compatiblity with each DJ app so you'll know in advance if a smartlist is going to be converted to a normal playlist on sync.
Hotkey Panel
There is now a panel that shows the most useful hotkeys as a quick reference. Especially useful for new users! Hotkeys make your Lexicon experience so much faster.
Small Bug Fixes
And of course, many small bug fixes that the community reported (thanks!).
