(Windows) Unable to execute this process / blocked by Windows Defender

This guide is only for Windows users that encounter the "Unable to execute process" or are seeing that Windows Defender is blocking a process called lexicon-tagger.exe.

Follow these steps to whitelist the process in Defender:

1. Make sure Lexicon is fully closed

2. Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings

3. In Exclusions, choose Add or remove exclusions → Add an exclusion → File

4. Paste or browse to %appdata%\lexicon\lib\lexicon-tagger\lexicon-tagger.exe (type Win + R, enter %appdata% to reach the folder quickly).

5. Confirm and relaunch Lexicon – Import/Export should now work.
