This guide will show you, step by step, how to convert your Serato library to a Rekordbox library.
This guide is the same for Windows and macOS.
Requirements
You need to have the following installed:
- Serato DJ
- Rekordbox 6
- Lexicon
Rekordbox needs to be started at least once.
You need an active Lexicon subscription. Basic is all you need. You can activate your subscription from inside Lexicon.
Steps
Converting from Serato to Rekordbox is very easy, just follow these steps.
- Make sure Serato and Rekordbox are fully closed.
- Open Lexicon.
- Go to the Sync page.

- Click the Import tracks & playlistsbutton at the bottom.

- Choose Serato DJ. Lexicon should automatically detect your Serato database.

- Make sure Fullis selected so your entire Serato library is imported.

- Click Start importingin the bottom right corner.

Now your entire Serato library will be visible in Lexicon. That was part one of the process. The second part is to sync your library to Rekordbox.
- Go to the Sync page again. This time we stay there and don't proceed to the import page.

- Choose Rekordbox 6. Lexicon should automatically detect your Rekordbox 6 database.

- Make sure Fullis selected and leave the other options on their defaults.

- Click Sync to Rekordboxin the bottom right corner.

After the process is complete, your Serato library will be fully converted to Rekordbox.
All your crates are now playlists in Rekordbox, including smart crates that are now intelligent playlists. All your tracks, cues, beatgrids and other tags will all be there.
Extra
For details and conversion limitations, please see the manual.
Lexicon does a lot to minimize the limitations of each DJ app, for example, through Field Mappings.
