I'm getting an EPERM (Permission Denied) error, what should I do?

When you get a permissin denied error (usually accompanied by the EPERM code), it indicates that Lexicon is not allowed to do something on your computer. This can sometimes be an actual permission problem on your drive or folders, but more often it is simply your operating system (Mac or Windows) doing something conflicting.

The very first thing you should try is simple: restart your computer. This often fixes temporary problems like this.

If that doesn't work, check if you have a virus scanner that is aggressively blocking Lexicon. If you have one, try turning it off just to check if that was it and if Lexicon now works normally, you should add a rule to your virus scanner to allow Lexicon to access your hard drives.
